Independence Day Schedule
All Offices closed 7/4/2009
All United Bank Offices will have normal hours of
business on Friday July 3, 2009. Our offices will be closed on
July 4, 2009 in observance of Independence day and resume normal

Bank invites you to submit your pictures of local architecture, nature,
wildlife, scenery and events for the opportunity to be featured in our 2010
community calendar. We will be accepting images between now and
August 1st. Your photo could be selected and showcased as the masterpiece
of the month in our 2010 community calendar! Calendars are a free
publication produced by United Bank and distributed throughout our local
communities. So, grab your cameras, get your focus and start sending us

FDIC Coverage Increase Extended to 12/31/2013
On May 20, President Obama signed a law extending standard deposit
coverage of $250,000 until December 31, 2013. United Bank
participates in the Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program (TLGP)
which provides full FDIC coverage for all funds in non-interest
bearing transaction deposit accounts. This coverage provision is
currently scheduled to expire 12/31/09. The TLGP also provides FDIC
coverage for interest checking accounts with interest rates no
higher than .50 percent. This coverage provision is currently
scheduled to expire 12/31/09.
